To say we are happy with our pool from Premier Pools and Spa is an understatement! From the very first call to ask about getting a quote to the final inspection the process was extraordinary. We were shocked that they sent someone out the same day we called for the quote. That someone was James Hyppolite who started as our Salesperson but ended as a friend. James was there for us throughout the process…never pushy, always clear with communications, timely in responding and a true advocate when appropriate. What we really appreciated was how James included the entire family along the way. He was also present throughout the build to make sure we knew what was taking place and to answer any immediate questions. Always generous with his time. We’ve recommended Premier and James to friends and family because we trust the experience will be just like ours. Every crew that came out was friendly, considerate and left the area organized and clean and represented Premier in a manner the company would want. Sure there are many pool companies to choose from but we are confident we selected the exact right one! Thanks again Premier and James for the great experience. We will enjoy the pool and outdoor space for many years to come!
We were in contact with James and Premier Pools for a year before we finally made the decision to start construction. To say James and his team exceeded expectations is an understatement. My wife and I are forever grateful for his communication, his care, attention to detail and overall hard work put in by James and Premier Pools for building our paradise. Kevin and Jennifer Mueller were wonderful people to work with through Premier Pools and Spas. Kevin designed us an awesome pool and the finished product is amazing. We love our pool and so does our family and friends. We can't wait to host events at our home. Jennifer did an amazing job at keeping us updated and they both answered our questions when they arose. I would not give a star but it isn’t an option. I know I was going to wait at least a year to give this review they begged so hard for and I wasn’t happy overall.This is how it has been since we officially open our backyard pool a year ago. Only 3/8 of them works (see picture) when on spa mode. Along with other issues they’ve caused us. I would rather not contact them at all any further. Just wanted others and potential pool owners to know. This is basically Jeff Paplin’s dream pool in my yard as I was ignored on what some of the things I actually want my pool to look like. He’s bad at listening to what the customer wants.Our irrigation/watering system was destroyed I get that, grass was destroyed I get that, but come to find out they completely ruined our perfectly underground situated rain water drain system. They didn’t even tried to let us know nor tried to go around it. They just dug and put the pool equipment/system there. We are left to fix the problem. We tried to tell them about the issue and was basically told ‘not our problem’. So just based off on our experience with this company this sales agent and the operations manager named Megan who I emailed about something and never acknowledged me and just pass along the message. Basically saying not my job.Update: June 3, 2024The third photo has that outlet thingy that’s supposed to be for vacuum they said. Absolutely useless, don’t work, just basically a hole with a cap lol. Those lounge chairs don’t really fit in the space. I mean it does but no more for anything else like a cute accent table. Umbrella holder never worked it’s too shallow won’t hold anything. My poor husband tried to fix and was unsuccessful. The waterfall feature splits in multiple falls when it’s been on for awhile, doesn’t stay as one 8ft waterfall. We were told because there was only one pipe put in there basically another failure of something that could have a perfect addition to the entire set.Jeff Paplin absolutely know about the spa issue they send one time to get it fix it worked one time and then it didn’t again. We were also tired of talking with him. Just didn’t want to deal with any of you really.
Johan and the team did an amazing job. After hearing horror stories from friends of their experience with other Tampa pool companies I knew I needed someone who had the experience to ensure I didn’t share the same fate. Premier had best pricing, better designs for my pool, used better quality products and was extremely responsive and built my pool in record time. Buyer beware if you aren’t using Premier!

Johann came to our house to begin the design. Broke ground the week of Christmas. It’s up and operational now! .. Just about a week into our 30 day period of brushing and getting the water to the right levels before we get the all clear to swim. They were very communicative, respectful of the property, and everything moved along great. If we had to build another pool, Premier would be the choice, hands down
From start to finish Premier Pool and Spas North Tampa was a pleasure to work with. The attention to detail and level of professionalism is unmatched. They do a fantastic job. The work is excellent and the job was done efficiently and quickly. You will never have to deal with waiting 12 months to get you back yard oasis completed. We even decided to change our pool design after we had the permits approved. Once they broke ground the process took less than 2 months to complete. Our salesman James was with us every step of the way.James worked with us to make sure we achieved our dream pool and outdoor living space. He was always available if we had any questions or concerns. His attention to detail and his frank honesty was a welcomed experience through the process. He is knowledgeable and very professional. Jeff Paplin did an amazing job working with me to create my backyard just the way I wanted. He would always answer my calls/texts no matter the time or day. He was very prompt, informative, and did great at constantly communicating with me about expectations and what was next. Imani was also extremely helpful in coming out and showing me how to operate everything and make sure the pool looks fabulous. I would highly recommend using Jeff to help design your pool!

My family and I are beyond satisfied with the quality of the work Premier Pools did for us and the service they provided. No matter who we interacted with, digging crew, main office, etc., they were all super friendly and did an amazing job of course. I want to give a special shout out to our sales person, Kevin. He was very upfront and honest about prices, equipment and schedule. Everything he said would happened did and either on time or ealier than scheduled. Anyone considering a new pool should choose PP&S without a minute of hesitation. We were looking to add a pool during the most difficult time (2020/2021) and ultimately chose PP&S because we liked that they own a lot of their own dig equipment and have their own employees/teams for most parts of the pool building process (as opposed to subbing out for every phase). I cannot stress enough how valuable this is. They are also part of a very large national franchise which means better buying power and access to parts & supplies.This company was amazing because they allowed me a lot of autonomy with the design as I wanted very particular items and look I was determined to achieve. They also made great suggestions and gave input to “pool things” I needed to understand.We had the best experience with EVERY. SINGLE. guy/gal/crew who came out. They were all so friendly and very knowledgeable and showed up when they were supposed to (summer weather permitting). The project manager Tony is an awesome guy and has been in the pool biz for 40+ years and he is a respected leader and manages his guys well. All of the crews raves about the owner, Ryan who we didn’t work with until the end but we definitely understood why all of the workers thought so highly of him. The management is accessible by text/phone/email and we’re very communicative and incredibly responsive during the entire process - and it IS QUITE A PROCESS with LOTS of moving parts. The best advice I can give if you’re building a pool is to be patient but stay on top of everything. Trust their process. Be understanding and kind to the workers. Holdups that are out of anyones control will happen.This team DELIVERED!! From dig day to completion it was exactly 3 months to the day ( 3-4 months will feel like three years to the homeowner, but be patient). These guys work HARD even in the sweltering summer months. They also clean up the site before they leave. I had cold drinks, sometimes donuts, and tipped some of the crews well (paver team is unbelievable!!)This company is trustworthy and has excellent process and organization. They show up, follow up, and follow through. We are SO THANKFUL we made the right decision by going with them and are absolutely loving our gorgeous pool!!!

Words can’t really express the glow up our old, crumbly pool received from the entire renovation crew at Cody. The pictures barely do it justice, but I included a before/after video for reference! We appreciated the transparency and cost breakdown Matt Stratton worked hard at to meet our budget requirements, and making every meeting whenever, wherever we needed possible! RJ was our project manager and was always responsive, cordial, and motivated in every sense of the word to get things done and properly. They were so gracious to install the equipment I bought even if it wasn’t through their company, and did a fantastic job of it; I personally enjoy the laser-cut labeling on every valve! Everyone we encountered was pleasant and professional; tiling crew was especially impressive with their painstaking work. All in all I believe the work took about a month, which in the midst of an unexpected and brutal heatwave was VERY impressive!We appreciate all of you working with us on a project we were so nervous and new at, and your guidance, flexibility and patience throughout the process![For reference: we chose the Nihon Reflections Nagoya tile with the Lighthouse 1 (definitely check out the tiles IN PERSON, because the catalog does not do the Lighthouse justice, and the Nagoya color is way less green!), Cody White coating and Ice cement pavers.]
My experience with Cody pools is 5 Stars! They really do earn this title.Working with John Lalley the sales manager / 3D design will get you the pool you want. GO slow at this time, focus on all the details you what incorporated in to your pool, from waterfalls, stairs, sundeck, anything at all, even something like the edge around the pool, plaster color we went with (Blue surf), the deck distance for walking or cleaning etc and screen design and how it connects to the home.We went with Double doors on the screen patio for easy access if moving in big items 😉 You'll thank me later..Next, are Project manager Adam Lazo the guy was Awesome on our pool install from start to finish, always communicating with us every step of the way. Always took our call or called us back very quickly, I think the pool was done in about 11 weeks. There are a lot of details that don't get discussed at the main office, you will learn these along the way, Dealing with Adam with all the different things that come and go makes every step so much easier in the process. From tear down of old and removing of debris to grading, digging, wood framing, concrete, so much to list haha.. Adam Lazo A+ job!This pool is definitely a oasis of color and sound so awesome..Thanks to all Cody employees and contractors along the way. There was a bunch of them. The End

We had our pool remodeled by Cody pools and the experience was great throughout. Jennifer was able to address all of our concerns and questions during the quoting process while RJ our project manager had great attention to detail during our remodel.
The process of selecting the right pool builder was daunting for us. We were very concerned with all the horror stories we had heard and read about with this industry. During this process of finding a builder we met Steve Geiger, pool aficionado at Cody Pools. The two things that initially grabbed us were that Steve has designed thousands of pools in his career and that we found out Cody was the largest in US and we figured they had the working capital to stand behind their product.When we got to the design phase with Steve he was very patient. We had lots of questions and he had lots of great ideas.Adam was our project manager. Great communicator and he walked the talk.Fast forward... we now have a pool that we don't deserve. It is beyond our wildest expectations. And Cody Pools warranty department is the best (only minor things but they are all over it with 6 trucks circling Tampa).Steve and Adam and the whole Cody pools "behind the scenes" gang, these are good people! We didn't know Steve or Adam before meeting them with this process and we now consider them friends.We had a pool party this past Saturday with their families so they could see and enjoy the fruits of their labor of love. How many people end their pool construction project on that note?? read BBB and Google reviews on other pool companies to appreciate this fact.Thank you Steve and Adam and Cody pools!!! You did it!! Dreams really can come true.

We used Cody Pools to resurface our pool. They did a great job. I was impressed with the process. They have someone reach out to me at every step. They let me know about the tile guy, and then the skimmer replacement, and then the blasting etc. Every step I was informed. And then there was a walk through when the work was completed for any issues. I dealt with RJ, Brian and Felix the most. They were great at solving any minor issues. Hector C.
I decided to renovate my pool after so many years. I did almost everything. I put new white code , pavers, copping, drain.It all start with lovely Jennifer who came and did the math. After calling 5,6 more pool companies my wife said that we should go with Jennifer (Cody pool) . They were not the cheapest but the trust is everything I guess. So, after choosing our tiles and pavers and copping they gave us a date when they will start.First, two Brazilian guys came! Oh my God what an experience. They did almost everything.RJ and Bryan, managers on this project were almost everyday here to check the work. Everything was top! I apologize if I missed anyone from the crew members.They finished everything in 10 days. 10 days!!We were very happy how everything came out. We add value to our property a lot.Thank you all again!

Cody pools did a phenomenal job restoring our pool. They resurfaced, tiled and layed new decking for our pool and spa. All though we had a few challenges during the remodel (electrical and weather) they still completed the job within their time frame! Brian has been extremely courtesy and ALWAYS available with any questions and concerns. We have received a lot of compliments on our pool and have referred family & friends to Cody pools simply for their great work and awesome customer service, which is VERY hard to find these days! If there was 10 stars I'd rate Cody pools a 10!
I recently had my pool and deck remodeled by Cody's. They have the best selection of tiles, pavers, and premium pebble products by Wet Edge, all at a fair price. The entire process was quick and efficient. They responded quickly with any questions or concerns. These guys are professionals. Bravo Cody's!

As I lay in my pool writing this, I appreciate all that Cody pools did. I chose Cody pools because of the full á la carte options that I got with them. Everything was an option. Some pool companies make you choose a package to get certain things, Cody pools was not like that. We were able to sit with Jay and he went over everything. We had a full breakdown. We had a lot for them to do but it turned out great! Everyone has hiccups along the way but Brian and Jay made sure everything was taken care of. I really appreciate them and all they did. Thanks Cody pools. I recommend them for your pool project.
We are extremely satisfied with our brand new remodeled pool. We wish we would have done it earlier, our pool is 20 years old. The remodel is so modern and beautiful I love it. Cody's pools were professional in every way and on time. The price was extremely Fair. All the employees were very professional courteous and very respectful and cleaned up after themselves. Jay was our remodel manager and he was wonderful. Jay was patient with us on picking our choices for our pool remodel. I would recommend this company for anybody that wants to do a pool remodel. I know it's very scary with everything on the news with some pool companies that leave you hanging and I had full confidence of this company.
5 star experience all the way around! We signed papers 8/1/22, they started digging 11/15/22, passed our final inspection today 5/3/23. Shawn designed the pool of my dreams and Mark our project manager made it happen. We really liked Mark and he did a great job communicating with us. We tried not to bother him too much with questions but he was available for us after 5 and on weekends to send a text back or call to chat about an inspection. I was fully convinced at the beginning of this that it was going to be a long and frustrating process to put a pool in. That’s what everyone seems to say but I couldn’t of been more wrong!! Mark assured me that he’d take care of it all and that my pool would be done by May. And yes…He took care everything and the pool was done by May!! They did everything they said they were going to do and on the timeline they said they would do it. Not to mention the quality of their finished product is impressive! It looks so good! I really appreciate the time everybody at Cody Pools spent making it a great experience for my family. We are so happy!!!! If you’re looking for a pool company to put your pool in; it’s so simple…. just call Cody Pools and ask for Shawn as your pool designer and Mark as your project manager, then keep patience, pay them on time and boom you’ll have a pool 8-9 months later!
Our experience with Cody pools has been nothing short of amazing. Anne Stone help us pick out and design just want we wanted. Elon was our project manager who was always in contact and there for our many questions. Everything went so smooth and quick. We’ve heard of others having rough experiences with other companies and we were expecting to have some bumps in the roads…..but we didn’t with Cody pools. I can’t say enough about the contractors that they work with. They were so polite and always cleaning up, as best you can in an open construction site.Pool completed and we’re now in contact with Cody Pools warranty department. This department does not disappoint! We’ve had both Orlando and Jonathan to our pool to get us up and running and teach us “Pool School.” They’ve both spent as much time with us as we needed and answered all our questions. The representatives I’ve spoke with in this department have also been extremely friendly and communicative.Long story short……we would highly recommend Cody Pools! We so excited to enjoy our own little slice of paradise.
Excellent company overall.We designed our pool, Shawn Gordon was our sale man and was able to render it in a 3D project and help us selecting all the materials, we negotiated a competitive price, we had options. Elon Friedman was our PM. He took Shawn design and made it reality. Elon coordinated all the county permits, vendors, and materials delivery. He owned the overall schedule and execution of milestones and he did an excellent job.From a customer to another: Building a pool is not an easy job. You can choose to hire a smaller company or someone who may charge you less and contract out all the work to Joe the plumber. The issue in doing so are the county inspections that you won’t pass and the needed permits you won’t get. Most of all with a cheap vendor you may end up with tons of repairs later on, in end you will spend more than what Cody charges. Also to be noted that Cody pool vendors are the best in the industry and they are not necessarily available to you as a private or to other companies. I’ve done my homework for months before choosing Cody Pools.I am already in the warranty period with my pool and couldn’t be happier with how the pool looks works and stood the test of time.It’s your choice: Cody Pools and be happy, anyone else and good luck to you!PS - Same as all other potential customers, I read the negative reviews related to supply chain issue and material delays. The country is impacted by all that, perhaps the negative review are related to Joe and not Cody?
Cody Pools did an excellent job on our custom pool project and I highly recommend using them! Steve did a great job designing the pool we dreamt of and even met us on his day out of the office to go over the plans one last time. One of the biggest issues with pool companies is communication, but with Cody Pools that is not an issue. Our project manager was Mark Morris. Mark was super responsive and always answered his phone or called back within a reasonable time, even on nights and weekends. Every construction project, no matter what it is, will have some sort of issues, and Mark and Steve corrected those issues within a matter of days. If you are looking for a pool builder, look no further than Cody Pools. You'll be happy you did! I PROMISE!!
I am giving Cody Pools a 5 star because of Mark Morris our Project Manager for all the hard work and follow up that he did building our pool. Mark was very detailed all the steps of the way. His customer service has been fantastic and his follow through was 100%. Mark weekly if not daily would pass along updates even if it wasn't good news. Mark would answer text messages and calls when we called him and if he didn't he would call or text back the same day. Cody Pools is very lucky to have a Project Manager like Mark. Thank you very much for everything you did Mark Morris. This is a big reason for the 5 stars. I would also like to mentioned our Pool School person Mark was great. He made sure to give tips on how to do things with our new pool. We are looking forward to having Mark come back to finishes up with our 30 day follow up with adding pool salt to our pool. Also would like to share our design and sales person Shawn Gordon was great with coming up with the design we wanted. Thanks Shawn.Only thing that I would mention was it did take pretty long to complete but I understand that some of the delays were out of control for Cody Pools. Just would have liked for us to have known this from the beginning. Lastly, we still have some items that need to be corrected like some screen repair, and our aluminum roof extension that was not sealed correctly and would leak when it rains. Also need the pool pump control screen replaced. Currently can not make adjustments or turn anything off from it. We found this our during pool school. Hopefully we can get these items completed soon. Again thank you everyone from Cody Pools for making our pool dream come true.
Overall it was a good experience. Please note that I'm not some sophisticated pool guy or a plant by the Cody Pools. I never had a pool before and was extremely green to the whole process. Our first contact was with Steve Geiger. He's a straight shooter and as a former military guys we hit it off from the start. I don't need a sleazy sales person trying to sell me a dream. Give it to me straight and that's just what he did. He designed a pool and outdoor living space that captured the image in our heads. From there we were off and running. By the time we closed on our house we had all approvals and permits. We closed the end of November and construction started 12/2/2021. We had water in the pool by April 2022 with the entire project completed by Memorial day 2022. Huge shout to our construction manager, Todd Borsodi. What an awesome PM and just all around good guy. He kept us informed every step of the way. It wasn't easy mind you and we pressed him constantly.Now don't get me wrong. There were issues. Like bringing the wrong tile, delays, pavers having to be fixed a few times, delays, outdoor kitchen not starting on time, oh did I mention delays??? Being a novice about pools it was hard trying to understand how we can get a crew here working hard for a day then weeks go by without any action. That was without a doubt the most difficult part. My only saving grace was talking with my neighbors who have been through this process before. They kept telling me that my pool was moving faster than they've seen others built. Now that I look back on it the total project was 5 months. That's with supply shortages, labor shortages, COVID, etc...Overall we're extremely pleased with our pool and outdoor living space. We utilize it everyday and really don't want to go in the house. We set out to have the best pool in the neighborhood and I do believe we've succeeded.Thank you Steve and Todd for making our dream come true.Anthony and Tammy Brown

I was fortunate enough to have Golan as my project manager. He did everything he possibly could to ensure my project came out amazing. He was very straight with me and kept me informed on all levels. Van Kirk was with our pool project every step of the way, from design to excavation to construction to completion. They handled all permitting and inspections. The designer listened closely and included all of the features that we were hoping for. The project manager was exceptional and communicated with us regularly on the progress. Highly recommend Van Kirk pools!

We did a substantial in ground pool remodel that took longer to complete than we expected but in terms of design and execution, exceeded our expectations! Both Dan Quong, our designer and Adrian, our Project Manager did excellent work and have earned our recommendation. We found the Van Kirk Team very professional and we love our new pool!
Overall, good experience and very good workmanship from Van Kirk Pools. Very pleased with the outcome and the project manager was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend them.Some opportunities for them to improve is the initial coordination and communication to the customer in the initial phases of the project. They failed city inspection on the plans in the beginning and they were not aware until I called the city and informed them myself. Also, there was a four month difference between their actual and estimated completion date.However, once the construction phase started, everything went relatively smoothly and their project manager made quite a positive difference. They should give him a huge raise! The pool looks amazing and the marble installation around the pool was very good as well as the placement of the equipment and plumbing.
Working with the Van Kirk team was a great experience from the beginning to the end of the project. Valeriya did an amazing job designing and proposing ideas for our backyard. She was always responsive as was the whole team. We want to give our special recommendation to Golan, our project manager. He was in charge during the whole time and demonstrated being always on top of every detail of the project. He accommodated all our requests and provided always guidance and support to ease any permits and processes we needed to do on our end. He kept us up to speed with the project and delivered on time every milestone. Overall, he is an outstanding professional with a deep knowledge of the ins and outs of the pool building process. On top of this, he is the most approachable and friendly person that was always listening to our questions and concerns and therefore was exceeding our expectations. We are very happy with the results and happy to have a beautiful Pool area as a result. We are thankful to Van Kirk for such an amazing job. We totally recommend this company.

Van Kirk is an excellent company!! The process was as easy at it can possibly be with constructing a new pool. Communication was 💯. Our yard was always kept clean and the whole process was smooth. Our project manager Adrian and designer Valeriya both were extremely professional and kept us in the loop on each step. Adrian was always out to oversee the work being done. We couldn’t be happier with the whole process and of course the end product. Our pool and spa! I cannot imagine choosing anyone else to do our pool.
