This is a GREAT company, packed with awesome people who truly care about the quality of the products and service they provide. I recommend them above and beyond all other in ground fiberglass pool companies. Their Rhino Rock installation is a game changer that makes what they provide the very best.
Update #3: I got help with my acid tank which I really appreciate. I haven't had any response in regards to the concrete. I'll update if I do.Update #2: As of writing this now, I haven't heard from the owner about the concrete/drainage concern. I assume they are busy. Aside from that my muriatic acid tank is not dispensing. I've tried to contact River Pools multiple times to get some kind of help for about 3 weeks now and so far I've been ignored. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but it's hard when I'm simply ignored. NO response to calls/texts. Just ignored as if they got my money from me and now they don't care about me. Seems crazy that after using this for only about 3 months last year it's having multiple issues. I'll update this as things change.Update: River Pools has fixed most (not all) of the issues I've had. The worst part that hasn't been fixed is the drainage/concrete around the drainage. I don't know if they can, or will, even fix this but it is an eye sore.On a side note, when I opened up my pool this season my Intellichlor salt generator went bad and to their credit River Pools came and replaced it quickly which is the type of customer service you hope for when you pay so much money to a company.The pictures of the drainage/concrete I have left up are the only issues I still have. I left the pictures of my experience up so you can see what my experience was like and what concerns they have addressed. I'll update this review (again) if anything changes.
Terrible customer experience. Continually telling us one thing and then doing another. Continually telling us they will finish the job and then never show up to do what they say. As soon as these guys have your money, your business means nothing to them. My husband and I want to warn you, if your pool is something you care about and want done right with transparency and good communication, this is not the group.We have cracks in our fiber glass pool liner that were shoddily repaired hoping we wouldn’t notice. River Pools cannot confirm when the manufacturer can fix it under warranty… We have massive, ugly gaps below our coping tiles with a terrible tile caulking job. They have continued week after week saying they will come fix, but nobody shows up. Who knows what else is wrong with our pool?Everything is a mystery with these guys. When they are going to show up? When are they going to fix something?
Run. If you consider your pool an investment, then this group is not who you want facilitating your hard earned money. I am a business owner; I have never left a bad review for any company my entire life, no matter the service level. I get it, business is hard, customer suck some times. However, I feel like it's my moral obligation to warn you to steer clear of these guys. They don't care about your business, it's as simple that. You will pay the price for working with these guys.
Installing a pool is a major milestone and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Logan, Taylor and the crew they have working together have all been fantastic. Great communication and they all answered any questions we had. They took the time to ensure we knew every next step and paid attention to the details. I would recommend River Pools to anyone. On top of the experience. Our pool is beautiful!
My husband and I had wanted to add a inground pool for our family gatherings. It was a dream we had but we were concerned about cost and function for our cold Utah winters. We contacted several companies and did a TON of research. We settled on River Pools and from the first call we were welcomed like family. They were upfront with all the costs and met every timeline ahead of schedule as far as installation. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and welcoming of ALL our gazillion questions. I wish we could give a five plus star rating because they deserve it and our family loves it. Success.
River Pools installed our pool in December 2019 and we love it! Fiberglass is the way to go. We are able to use our pool 7 months a year and the heating expense is not that bad. Pools make your backyard so much more fun and inviting.
Eric and Christine (the owners of River Pools) really made what could have been a nightmare project a painless reality. Ok, an in-ground pool installation is not painless, but River Pools made it bearable. They did it on time and on budget. They didn’t disappear when the pool was installed and running. When I had questions or issues, they showed up promptly and educated me in pool maintenance or fixed the problem. Their employees were respectful of my property and good natured. I ordered a 16 x 36 fiberglass in-ground pool, and it is the perfect size for my three kids and 6 grandchildren. My property wasn’t flat, so I had to do a lot of retaining (by a separate contractor) but River Pools worked well with other contractors and once my pool shell showed up at their facility—it went in quickly (with a giant crane—very interesting to watch) and was filled the next day. I was swimming shortly after that. I highly recommend River Pools. I’m a little type A personality—I like things done right—and they did not disappoint.
River Pools and their team were great to work with! We didn't have the easiest installation due to the soil conditions in our neighborhood, but they kept working until we found a way to get it completed. I never hesitate to recommend them and their products to other individuals interested in a pool. We're now on our 3rd year and we couldn't be happier and more excited for Summer to arrive!
River Pools of Salt Lake City has been a great company to work with. We had a few concerns initially before signing a contract about communications and payment scheduling. The owners Eric and Kristina came to our home and addressed all of our concerns. They were willing to adjust the payment schedule slightly so that we were more comfortable with it. Kristina was our main point of contact and responded quickly to any questions that we had. They arranged for us to take our kids to their lot where they keep the shells and see our pool. We could even walk around in it.Just after they filled the pool we noticed the water level dropped. They came the next day and found that one of the skimmer’s was missing a plug and quickly plugged it and made sure no leaks were found. No major issues occurred and overall the process went smoothly. They got the hole dug, pool installed, equipment set up and working, auto cover, and the pool cleaned all within 3 weeks!! We just had it completed this November and they were willing to get it all ready for us to enjoy swimming for a few days and then winterize it. Everyone we have associated with has been kind, professional, and communicated things well. Definitely recommend Riverpools if Salt Lake City!

I’ve used Quality Pool and spa mostly for repairs, but this year I tried them for opening/closing and weekly maintenance on our pool. When it comes to repairs these guys rock, which is the only reason they get more than 1 stars.when it comes to opening/closing and maintenance they have consistently failed to provide quality service. Expect their techs to leave messes like toss your pool parts into the dirt, instead of putting them in the pool house. If you request a manual cover their techs will literally refuse to clean it or take it off fully, and they will just say “sorry”, with no offer to follow up or correct the deficiencies.The worst experience we had was we had was they forgot to clean the pool pump filter, which resulted in damages and pump failure. Even after they claimed they cleaned it, the filter was full of debris. We even had to clean the pool ourselves when we got back from a vacation - they did fire the tech that was responsible for these mishaps, but they did not offer to correct the issues or provide any discounts on the low quality service.If you need a repair, these guys are great - but when it comes to open/close and maintenance, expect low quality service, and bunch of corners to be cut.
The quality of service is not just in the name! I love the personalized service, they stand by their work and will make sure it’s done right!
I spoke with Steve on the phone who now owns the company. What a great attitude! I need a Pentair Furnace repaired and he is going out of his way to make it work. He called back within 10 minutes, generally you wouldn't hear back from a service organization for a day or two. I really believe Steve is going to take this company great places. Tracy was great on the phone. Now we will see if they can fix my heater. So far, I am pleasantly pleased with attitudes and quick call backs.Randy
Getting anyone out to repair a spa is a real chore. I contacted dozens of companies, searched on social media, and asked friends for help fixing a cracked pipe. Out of the many touch points only 4 “professionals” agreed to help. It was a mix of unqualified, unresponsive, and lying. After a month of running around, I got quality pools and spa on the line.You guys rock. My expectations were set for “next week” (mind you I called on a Thursday evening after work). The next day I got a text confirming an appointment for Monday morning. I didn’t hold my breath based on prior experiences. To my surprise, Stephen was right on time, polite, and friendly. He Inspected the crack, found another leak on the same pipe further down the line, completed a quality repair, and went above and beyond regarding the reassembly. He did all of this in under 2 hours keeping the repair more than affordable.I filled up my spa tonight and it is running well with no sign of leaking. Thank you so much! I will happily recommend you guys to anyone.
Great service from a knowledgeable team. I reviewed many spa repair places and chose these guys in the end. I’m very glad I did. The service was professional not pushy and helped me know what to do with a hot tub that came with the house we bought. I would 100% recommend these guys and I will use them in the future.
If you want the job done right, these are the guys. Steve is the absolute best. Knows his stuff, designs a solution that works and stays until the job is done. And here is the big bonus...he arrived when he said he would with consistent notifications via text about his status and arrival. Their electronic portal for appointments, payment and reminders is fabulous. You'll love working with these guys.
Derrick is an expert with spas. We had him come fix our hot tub that was not heating anymore. He was thorough and tested to be sure that what he thought was actually going on was truly the problem, and he had the solution. So grateful to have our hot tub working again for a reasonable price for the repair. When we have need for hot tub maintenance and repair, we will be calling again. And we will recommend Quality Pool & Spa to our friends and family.
